I don't recognize this face anymore.
Eyes hollowed out,
dark circles stained in the skin.
Cheeks so far sunken in
they should belong to a skeleton,
not a girl like her.

I don't recognize this person.
Body thinning with each day,
the skin stretching over pale bones.
I can almost feel
the sickness consuming her body,
stealing away her health.

I don't recognize that laugh,
so strained and tired now.

I don't know that smile,
so fake and forced.

I don't recognize that voice,
it doesn't seem to fit right anymore.
It seems so broken now.

I don't know this person looking back at me.
This is a person I've never met,
this person staring at me with skeletal eyes.
Who is this person
standing inside the mirror?

This person can't be me,
